Hello all!  Sorry I missed yesterday.  It was CRAZY.  Here is tip #2!

Tip #2: Shutter Speed Overview

Shutter speed is how fast the camera records the picture.

If you are taking pictures of a 2 year old, you WILL need a faster shutter speed.  Turn your camera dial to S or TV if you have a canon.

Here are examples of fast and slow shutter speeds.

I was using a slow shutter speed.  I was wiggling my pointer finger.  

I was using a fast shutter speed for this picture.  I was wiggling my pointer finger in this picture as well.

So, put your cameras on shutter speed and practice using fast and slow shutter speeds!

This is a VERY BASIC example of shutter speed.  There is so much more involved.  Next up ISO!  we are going out of town tomorrow, so the next tip will be on Monday!  Once again, if you are interested in a class that would go into more detail, email me @ sarah.k.thomas85@gmail.com.  I also thought about doing it a class through email and just meeting a few times for some hands on.  It might be hard to get busy mommies together at the same time.
